Parsley Paratha or parsley roti is my very own creation which later added in my favorite rotis list too.I can`t take every day same plain rice in the lunch and same plain rotis for dinner.life is very short which folded with lots of struggles,sorrows,happiness,responsibilities etc..Then,at least  for  freshen up can make some changes in daily food habits which may brings smiles..How many agree this??...


Generally I prefer rotis/chapathis for dinner.So,depending on time and mood love to create new versions some times..In the same way this roti also came in front of you all today..Actually I use parsley to make juices for break fast by adding fruits,honey and some lemon juice..Because of this cold weather,(Yeah..winter season has started in foz.already,started suffering with cold+headache) not feeling to make juices in the morning,even hubby also asking for milk most of the times. Yup..Story is diverting.. Ok..Coming to this exact recipe,instead of using in juice,thought to use for roti..Parsley is the herb which looks like cilantro exactly ,but it does n`t have any aromatic smell like cilantro..(Still..the girl who works in my home confuses always) You people know about the cilantro paratha I think..So,just i replaced cilantro with parsley and the remaining ingredients are common which we use according to our taste..If you love rotis or loves to try new recipes then you must try this recipe..I have shared few tips in the end of the recipe.please check and as per your choice make it..

PREPARATION TIME-15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES

WHAT YOU NEED


2 cups - wheat flour
1/2 big bunch or 1 small bunch- Parsley leaves,very finely  chopped
2-3 - Green chili, finely chopped or red chili powder for taste
1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste/GGP
1/2 tsp - cumin seeds/jeera
2 tsp - Oil
1/2 tsp - Salt
Water to knead


HOW TO COOK

1 ) In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients with wheat flour and knead with enough water to make a chapati dough. Rest the dough for 15 to 20 minutes. Cover with wet towel, so that dough doesn't dry out or use a plate. 

2 ) Make equal size balls out of the dough. Take one dough ball and roll out a thin paratha with a rolling pin.Use some extra flour while rolling to avoid sticking..You can apply oil and close it and then again roll it for layered roti/paratha.

3 ) Heat a tawa or a non-stick pan, on medium heat and place the paratha in it. Smear some oil on top and around the paratha. Flip and cook evenly on both sides, till it's golden brown in colour on both sides.

4) Serve hot with any chutney or gravy or raita.I had it with soya chunks pepper fry (recipe soon)

  
MAHAS NOTES

Use 1 cup maida and 1 cup of wheat flour if you like.

You can grind parsley,cumin seeds,ginger ,green chili into coarse or fine paste and add in flour.make dough and use..

Careful while adding water always other wise it becomes lumpy,later you need more flour for perfect dough.

Use 1/2 cup of oat powder or oatmeals for more healthy version.

You can use ajwain/vamu/carom seeds instead of cumin..add enough salt..
