Potato Peas Korma Recipe | Potato Peas Kurma For Rotis | Aloo Peas Curry For Chapathi | Spicy Easy Aloo Mutter Masala Gravy | How to Make Simple Aloo peas Curry For Rotis

This is a simple korma recipe which is cooked with aloo and peas.Potato and peas are the one of the best combination to try and most of the percent it`s great a hit too..korma recipes are easy to make and tastes best with indian flat breads like rotis,pulkas,naan or puri..Korma means it is a combination of coconut and khus khus.
So,here also I used paste of coconut and khus khus.It is not too spice,also very tasty because of coconut..I cooked it like curry means did n`t added much water..If you want like a gravy,add 1 cup of water and adjust the chili powder n salt for perfect taste.Basically,iam a  roti lover,so loves to try different curry/gravy recipes every time.So,if you are like me or if you like potato,then you must try this easy korma recipe too..Next time try this easy,tasty Potato Peas Korma Recipe and enjoy with hot rotis..



2 medium size Potatoes
1 cup Green Peas- frozen I used
1 medium size Onion, thinly sliced
1 large Tomato, finely chopped

1 tsp-ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste

1/4 cup chopped Coconut, fresh/frozen
khus khus/poppy seeds/gagasalu-1 tbsp

red chili powder-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1/2 tsp

For Tadka/Tempering:
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
cumin seeds-1 tsp

hing/inguva podi-2 pinches
2 tbsp Oil


Peel the potatoes and cut them small size pieces.boil in water for 10 minutes in medium flame and drain in bowl.keep aside to use later in the process.  

Dry roast khus khus seeds,coconut pieces in a non stick pan and grind into fine paste using 2-3 tbsp water.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,cumin,dry red chilli, hing.

Mix in chopped onion,GGP and saute until  it changes into brown, about 2-3 mins, on medium flame.

Next mix in potato pieces,washed green peas and mix well. Add in spice powders and mix once again.Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame and add in chopped tomato.

Mix again and close with lid,cook for 2-3 minutes in medium flame and add in ground coconut paste+1/2 cup water and cook it till the gravy becomes little dry, about 3-4 minutes, on medium flame.Add in garam masala and mix well.Throw in freshly chopped cilantro leaves if you like and turn off..


Add about one cup of water if you want the gravy consistency. In medium heat cook for another 2-3 minutes.Switch off the flame and serve with plain rice or any Indian flat bread.

You can chop in big size and pressure cook for 5 minutes in high flame and use..Or you can microwave for 10 minutes in plastic bowl and use. 

Along with coconut and khus khus you can grind ginger,cloves,cumin for a good taste and flavor,If you follow this step avoid GGP and add 1/2 tsp of cumin in (tadka/popu)the first step.
