Anapakaya Oats Kheer

Iam here again with another simple sweet.This time it is kheer with oats...Here I used sugar so,can call it healthy I hope.So,I told about the main two ingredients of the recipe,Now can you guess about the leading element of the recipe..Hehehhee..I know..
with the recipe title it self you all understood it.Yeah..This is a kheer which blended with bottle bourd and oats.. The combination may sounds innovative but,after tasting it definitely you`l like it...May be it`s not a big recipe,but to use bottle gourd, or instead regular halwa or simple kheer for a variation can try this which is tasty and healthy too.If you like can replace sugar with jaggery,but I preferred sugar in this particular recipe for a change. So,choice is yours!!!Try this next time and enjoy.

WHAT YOU NEED

1.Oats flour or powder -1/2 cup
2.Sorakaya/bottle gourd grated -1/2 cup
3.Boiled milk -1/2 litre
4.Dry fruits chopped (kaju/badam/raisins)-1/3 cup
5.Sugar - 1/2 cup
6.Cardamom powder - 1/2 tbsp
7.Ghee/neyyi - 2 tbsp




HOW TO COOK

1.Take a pan pour ghee and heat it.Add dry fruits and fry till light golden.

2.Transfer into a small bowl,In the same pan add sorakaya grated and fry till water evaporates from it.

3.Add boiled milk,oats powder and saute the mixture well.Bring it to a bowl.

4.Add cardamom powder,sugar,saute till it melts.

5.Cook for few minutes by stirring continuously,finally add fried dry fruits and turn off....Serve hot or cold..!!!
