  3. After 10 minutes, you  can see the change of color in the milk and become bit thicker.
  4. Add paneer and stir for sometime.Add the powdered sugar and  cook for 10 more minutes in low flame.
  5. stir in between, other wise it starts burning in the bottom.throw in cardamom powder, give a final mix, when it starts leaving pan remove from heat .
  6. In a bowl or plate apply ghee, put the kalakand mixture and let it cool.Flip it on a plate and serve or you can make desired shape.homemade kalakand is ready.Enjoy !!!

Mahas Notes

Use full cream milk to prepare Kalakand.

Use sugar according to taste. Depending upon the quality of milk and the quantity of paneer obtained from such milk, add sugar.

Use a big and broad pan to prepare Kalakand.

Milk has a tendency to form a layer of thick cream while boiling. This thick cream gives a grainy texture to the Kalakand. So, to get a smooth textured Kalakand, stir the milk mixture continuously while cooking.

Stirring will not allow the milk to form cream layer—this way the cream gets incorporated into the milk giving the Kalakand a smooth texture.

This is for us Dear!! Sandhya+Usha :D
