Home made Chocolate Kulfi | Quick and easy chocolate kulfi | Chocolate kulfi ice cream without kulfi moulds | Summer treats for kids | Indian style chocolate ice cream recipes

Kulfi is an Indian Ice-cream which is kids favorite. It is unchurned and therefore you will not need an ice-cream maker. Traditionally, Kulfi comes in flavours such as cardamom, almond, pistachio, mango, kesar(saffron) etc. Here Iam  sharing about how to make chocolate Kulfi with coffee touch. I used cocoa as  a main ingredient and  freezing over night gives a best shape.hope you will try making it too and fall in love with it. :)

Long time back posted mango kulfi where I used plastic glasses.There I have posted step wise pictures but in this recipe while working with camera missed the pictures..Next time will update definitely.


1 ½ cups evaporated milk* or 5 cups milk, boil n reduce up to 1 ½ cup

¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup crushed almond (optional, gives a great crunch)


Start boiling evaporated milk or regular milk along with cardamom powder. Stir in between to avoid burning from bottom and when milk reduces to 1 1/2 cups add condensed milk and chocolate chips and mix well.

Cook this for 5 minutes in medium flame and turn off.Now chocolate kulfi mixture is ready now. Check the taste and add condensed milk if you like..If you like can

add finely chopped almond flakes and let it cool..If you have kulfi moulds pour it and freeze for 8 hours or over night..

You can dip a ice cream stick too.If you don`t have kulfi mould it`s fine..Use plastic glasses to freeze..I used mini plastic glasses here and worked out fine too..Next 

day,remove kulfi carefully and serve ..
