Gobhi korma is a delicious dish made with onion and thick coconut paste base and spices that gives kurma its unique flavor and taste. kurma is one of the popular dish in South India which is a fantastic side dish with rotis or any flavored rice.
Traditionally the korma originated from the Mughlai cuisine. There are many techniques and styles of preparing the korma.Like,adding tomato for gravy consistency or adding khus khus paste or dry coconut paste etc. The taste of kurma is based on the mixture of spices used like cumin and coriander seeds that gives an excellent flavor to the dish.

Cauliflower -1 (medium size )
Onion-1 medium size
Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
Coriander powder -1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala -1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
cashews - 10

Coconut chopped -1/3 cup

Salt - to taste

Oil -2 table spoons

cumin seeds- 1 tea spoon
dry red chili-1


Dice the cauliflower,boil until soft and drain in colander. grind the chopped coconut until soft, dry roast cashews and grind into fine paste.

Heat the oil in a pan/kadhai and fry the cumin,red chili,chopped onion,ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Then add ground coconut and cashew paste..Cook for 2 minutes in low flame.. Then add  chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt in that and fry. Add boiled cauliflower and some water for gravy consistency. After 2 minutes add the coriander powder and garam masala and stir well.. Turn off and add coriander leaves and serve hot with roti/chapathi.
