Dal Paratha is one of the popular variety in Indian flat bread recipes. This delicious bread is filled with cooked dal and a variety of spices.
There are two types in making dal paratha.. So,here Instead of stuffing I blended dal in the flour along with spice powders.Still,it tastes super awesome..When you add dal in flour mixture allow it to cool completely before making these wholesome parathas so that you will be able to roll the parathas easily. Totally,these parathas fills your heart and tummy, in a very comfortable sort of way. Try next time and enjoy with curd.

COOKING TIME- 15 minutes


Toordal or chana dal -1/2 cup
wheat  flour- 2 cups
turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
red chili powder-3/4 tsp
salt-to taste
ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
oil- for pan frying

Wash and soak dal for 15 minutes..Pressure cook in medium flame for 8-10 minutes or for 3 whistles.. Mash dal coarsely and keep aside.. In a bowl take flour, add in turmeric powder,red chili powder,salt,ginger garlic paste and cooked dal..

mix nicely and make a dough.. Rest it for 15 minutes.. Then, on rolling board using some extra flour roll it into round shape and pan fry it with oil on both sides nicely.. Finally serve hot with any side dish,curry or gravy..
