Last time I have shared Paneer lababdar recipe which is a very good dish to pair up with rotis or parathas.. Along with it I also tried this Warqi paratha..It is a layered paratha, which takes some time to make when we compare with regular rotis.It is an ideal combination with delicious curries or gravies. Iam also sharing step wise pictures which helps you to try.. Try it any serve hot with any gravy..
PREPARATION TIME- 25 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 15 MINUTES
WHAT YOU NEED
Refined flour (maida) or wheat flour - 2 cups (I used wheat
Milk - 1/2 cup
ghee - 2-4 table spoons
Salt - to taste
sugar-1 tea spoon
Ghee/butter- for pan frying
HOW TO COOK
Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, sugar, salt and mix nicely.
To it add milk, little water and mix nicely to make a dough. Rest it for 15 minutes.
Dust some flour and roll like thick chapathi, apply ghee,sprinkle some flour and fold it like as shown in the below picture. rest it for 10 minutes again.
Again dust some flour, roll it and repeat same process for another 3 times. Finally,like in the picture cut into square shapes or using any round shaped plate cut into circles.
Place on hot tawa/pan and using ghee cook on two sides. warqi paratha is ready to serve.
