Hyderabadi Dum ka Murgh | Hyderabadi Style Dum ka Chicken | One Pot Chicken Curry | One Bowl Chicken Curry | Hyderabadi Style Chicken Curry

Hyderabadi cuisine always amazes which gifted us so many variety dishes...I have already posted few hyderabadi recipes like Shahitukda,Hyderabadi style prawn biryanichicken dum biryani,mutton dalcha,khubani ka meetha,kichidi,double ka meetha and osmania biscuits etc..This time introducing a chicken dish which is called as "Dum ka chicken"..
It is a very rich,aromatic and flavorful this recipe,chicken is cooked in its own juices combined with lots of spices,nuts paste,curd and cream.In this dish,first we marinate the chicken for some time,then adds all in a vessel and cooks for 30 minutes in low flame until feels nice aroma..Overall,this curry is very simple to cook.It can be served with rice or roti as well..

To Marinate Chicken
chicken with bone-500 grams
red chili powder-2 tea spoons
salt-to taste
lemon juice-1 table spoon
ginger garlic paste-1 table spoon
turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon

Other Ingredients
cashews-1 table spoon
almonds-1 table spoon
oil- 1+3 table spoons
onions-1 medium size sliced +1 big chopped
curd/yogurt-1 cup
green chili paste-2 table spoons
lemon juice-2 table spoons
mint+cilantro leaves-1+1 cup chopped leaves
water-3 cups
whole garam masala ingredients
cloves-3+green cardamom+1cinnamon stick+1 "inch+bay leaf 1+cumin seeds-1 tsp+staranise-small
cream-1/4 cup


Marinate chicken with red chili powder,salt,lemon juice,ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder for 2 hours or over night if possible.. Dry roast cashews,almonds and grind into paste.. Heat a vessel,pour a table spoon of oil roast sliced onions,remove then into mixy jar and make a fine paste. Separately grind green chili into coarse paste.

In the same vessel,add some more (3 table spoons) oil,marinated chicken,chopped onions,lemon juice,green chili paste,nuts paste,fried onions paste,green chili paste,curd,whole garam masala ingredients,mint+cilantro leaves,water and cook for 30 minutes in low flame by closing tightly with a lid..After 30 minutes,means when the chicken is cooked perfectly soft,add cream,mix well and cook for 5 more minutes and turn off..Serve hot with rice or roti.
