Poha vadas are very easy to prepare.no soaking and grinding is required they can be prepared instantly.the outcome of the the recipe depends on how you mix the batter.the batter shouldn't be too runny or too hard. These vadas can be served with coconut chutney or peanut chutney....or they taste good even without any accompaniment..

Preparation/Cooking time - 30 minutes
flattened rice flakes/poha/atukulu -2 cups
besan flour/chick pea flour/senaga pindi-3/4 cup
rice flour/biyyam pindi-1/4 cup
finely chopped onions-1/2 cup
salt- to taste
ginger garlic paste/GGP - 1 tea spoon
finely chopped green chillies-to taste (5)
cumin seeds- 1 tea spoon
hing/asafoetida-1/4 tea spoon
oil-for deep frying
* you can add tea spoon of chana dal
Dip rice flakes in water,immediately take them out into a bowl.. Add in besan flour,rice flour,finely chopped onions,salt,ginger garlic paste,finely chopped chillies,cumin seeds,hing and mix well..
Now add little bit of water to make it dough.Don`t make it loose. Mixture should be tight to fry in oil..
Now, take a lemon size mixture, shape it into circle,press it to make flat.. Keep ready all the vadas aside..
Heat oil in kadai for deep frying,when the oil is hot drop few vadas slowly ,deep fry them in medium oil til the both sides turns into light brown color.
Take them on paper towel,serve hot with any chutney or with hot tea.
