Love on biriyani is never ends,in fact it grows every time when I try new recipe..I have posted almost 15 biriyani recipes which are popular in india..More than the common dishes,I love to introduce famous recipes which stands unique when compares to normal recipes.
This time Iam sharing chennai populai biriyani which is simple to cook but tastes awesome..This is not in dum method,so you don`t need to cook rice separately..Like,many other biryani recipes in this no need marination step..So,it`s a super simple recipe which you can cook in less than 30 minutes damn surely..Overall,this is a healthy,tasty biriyani which is perfect for lunch..cook it next time share your comments...

PREPARATION TIME-20 MinutesCOOKING TIME- 40 Minutes
Basmati rice-2 cups
chicken drumsticks/ leg pieces-10-12
onions-2 medium size
green chilli-3 (optional)
red chilli powder-2tsp or to taste
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
lemon juice-2 tsp
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
fresh mint leaves-handful
fresh coriander leaves-handful
kasoori methi powder-1 tsp
black pepper corns -4
bay leaf-1 big
cumin seeds-1 tsp
round slices of onion-1
Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.
Turn on heat under a vessel..Add oil..Fry whole garam masala ingredients+chopped onions,GGP,cashews...Saute well and add chicken..add spice powders like- salt+chilli+turmeric powder,kasoori methi pwoder..Mix and set it evenly in vessel..Then throw in tomatoes,cilantro+mint leaves..
Now add in spice powders like, coriander+cumin+biryani masala,.Stir together.Add in curd and cook for 15 minutes in medium flame until chicken half done..Finally,add water,while boiling add rice and cook until done.
Serve hot with raita,onion slices and lemon wedges.
