Chicken biryani or pulao is certainly a delicious and aromatic meal. The meat is seasoned using spices after which mixed in with basmati rice which has been seasoned with lots of whole garam masala. It's not only a single pot meal, it is also the most aromatic and most delicious dish to please.
Generally biryani/pulao is served on all auspicious and special occasions. When it comes to Biryani, one can understand by the tempting aroma and fragrance of the dish, how much effort the cook has put into it. White Chicken pulao isnothing but a combination of Dum Biryani and Yakhni Pulao.I cooked this in the evening,that`s the reason of poor pictures..
PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES
Boneless chicken - 500 grams
white or black pepper powder-2 tea spoon
garam masala-1 tea spoon
ginger garlic paste,-1 table spoon
coriander powder-1 tea spoon
cumin powder-1 tea spoon
lemon juice-1 table spoon,
chili paste-1 table spoon
curd-3 table spoons
coconut pieces-few/3 table spoons chopped
Wash chicken,take it into a bowl.Marinate with white pepper powder,garam masala,ginger garlic paste,coriander powder,cumin powder,lemon juice,chili paste,curd....mix well and rest it for 1 hour..Wash rice and soak in water for half an hour..
Make a fine paste of cashew,almonds,coconut pieces..Heat a vessel with oil, add whole garam masala ingredients..Fry chopped onions,add marinade chicken,ground paste mix well,cook for 5 minutes in medium flame..Add in pepper powder,coriander leaves and enough water.. While water boiling, add rice and cook in medium flame until rice done.in the last put the flame in low flame.Once the rice is done turn off.. Serve hot with curd raita and gravy..
