Hara masala Semiya pulao Is n`t this title is interesting? I know you may feel like surprising with recipe name.But what you have read is right!! It`s a green masala folded semiya pulao with mixed vegetables.Iam very proud to say that this is my very own creation..Actually we only get cilantro,mint leaves here so using those two I like to prepare different dishes always.With hara masala pulao inspiration I tried this dish luckily came out very well.
I added red chili but you can use green chili if you get,also I used my choice of vegetables so according to your taste you can add or skip veggies and cook this upma. Upma is a popular breakfast item across India..Instead of trying regular variety try this new dish which is easy and yummy too..This is one of the best and perfect breakfast dish.Try this next time and enjoy hot with your favorite pickle ..

PREPARATION TIME- 15 MINUTES

WHAT YOU NEED
2 cups vermicelli
2 tablespoons ghee or oil

1 teaspoon mustard seeds 
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon urad dal

1 teaspoon chana dal
4-5 green chillies, slit or red chillies
8-10 curry leaves
A pinch of asafoetida
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small potato, finely chopped

2 french beans, finely chopped
handful of green peas (I used frozen)
handful of sweet corn (I used frozen)
handful of cauli flower floretsSalt to taste
handful of finely chopped fresh coriander leaves

handful of finely chopped fresh mint leaves
handful of finely chopped fresh coconut pieces

HOW TO COOK
take handful of mint+cilantro leaves and coconut pieces.. Grind into coarse paste,keep aside..
Roast vermicelli in a non-stick pan till brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
Heat ghee or oil in the same pan. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add urad dal,chana dal,cumin seeds, green chillies or red chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida. Mix well and add onion. Mix and sauté till onion is golden.
 Add all the vegetables,salt to taste and cook for five minutes in medium flame.
Add ground paste and stir well.add 4 cups of water and let it boil.Now throw 
roasted vermicelli,mix, cover and cook till the vermicelli is done.Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
