With Hariyali Paneer Masala dish Inspiration I tried this egg masala gravy which a perfect side dish to serve with roti or chapathi. Generally egg curry means I used to cook with tomato – onion base.But after started love on cooking trying different egg curries and gravies with different bases.Hariyali means nothing but hara masala with this base can prepare mutton or chicken gravies too.This traditional gravy is prepared with tomatoes, onion along with some herbs which gives a green color to it..Overall,This egg gravy is a perfect dish to try and can be served with roti,chapathi or naan.
PREPARATION TIME- 15-20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 20 MINUTES
Boiled eggs- 4-5 no
Ginger garlic paste -1 table spoon
Green chilly-5 n or red chili powder-2 tea spoon
Kasoori methi -1 table spoon
Turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon
Tomatoes -3 medium size
Salt- to taste
Chopped coriander leaves-1/4 cup
Chopped Spinach leaves -1/4 cup
Chopped mint leaves-1/4 cup
Butter- 2 table spoon
Cream -1/4 cup
Sugar- 1 tea spoon
Garam masala powder -1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
Whole garam masala (all)
Green Cardamom pod-1
HOW TO COOK
Heat oil in a pan add whole garam masala, chopped onions,ginger garlic paste, green chilly, kasoori methi, tomatoes mix and cook for some time.Then add chopped coriander leaves,mint leaves,spinach leaves,turmeric,red chili powder,salt. Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame,turn off.. once it cools blend into a nice thick paste.
Take another pan put it on the flame add some butter add cumin seeds,cardamom and add green masala paste cook for some time, add sugar, some water, once this comes boil add boiled eggs, cook for 3-5 minutes then add cream, garam masala powder and mix well and switch off the flame.Serve this hot with phulkas.
