Rajma masala is a popular north Indian vegetarian dish consisting of red kidney beans in a thick curry with lots of Indian whole spices and usually served with roti. This red kidney beans gravy is Punjabi popular dish which you can see every where including road side dhabas.
The combination of Rajma and rice generally lists as a top favourite of North Indians. But I served with chapathi in dinner..Try this popular vegetarian Rajma Masala recipe and serve hot..Everyone in your home definitely likes this dish and enjoys..

WHAT YOU NEED
Rajma/Kidney beans - 500 grams/2 cups
ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Onion (meadium sized) - 2
Tomatoes - 4 or tomato puree-1 cup
Oil or butter  - 2 tablespoon

Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
Salt as per taste
Turmeric  powder - 1 tea spoon
Red chilli powder - 2 tea spoon
Coriander powder -1 tea spoon
Garam Masala -1 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon 

Whipping Cream-2 table spoons



HOW TO COOK
1.Soak the red kidney beans overnight.Next day, cook in a pressure cooker till done..
Heat the oil in non stick pan,crackle cumin,fry onions+ginger-garlic paste for a minute..Then add  tomato puree or finely chopped tomatoes,mix and cook for 5 minutes.Add red chili powder,turmeric and salt.Stir and add pressure cooked rajma,mix it again.Add cumin+coriander powders and cook again for 5 minutes in medium flame..Finally add garam masala and cream.Cook again for 5 min and turn off..Serve hot with chapathi along with lemon wedge and onion slices.
