When chapathis are common in your home you need different curries and gravies recipes for a combination.. Roti is our common dinner so,i prefers to cook new dishes to serve every time..Chick peas are basically rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins of the B complex..The dish called Chana Masala or Chole Masala is an Indian popular dish,specially in northern side..
Apart of the chick peas there two varieties called black chana and green chana..So,This present dish is made using black chana which is healthy yet tasty too.. It is a kind of korma but with nuts instead of coconut.. Cashews and Almonds gives a rich taste to the dish and the remaining cooking process is quite simple.. Over all,It is a perfect pair on platter with hot rotis along with lemon wedge..Give a try and let me know your results..

 WHAT YOU NEED
black chana/chick peas-1 cup
cashew,almonds-10+10
oil-1 table spoon
cumin seeds-1 tea spoon 
green cardamom-1
cinnamon stick-1 inch
cloves-2
onion-1 small 
tomato-1 big
1 tea spoon-ginger garlic paste/GGP
red chili powder-2 tea spoons
salt-to taste
turmeric powder -1/2 tea spoon
cumin powder-1/2 tea spoon
coriander powder-1/2 tea spoon
garam masala-1/2 tea spoon
HOW TO COOK
Soak cashew,almonds in water for 15 minutes then grind into fine paste..Heat a non stick pan with oil saute cumin seeds, green cardamom,cinnamon stick and cloves for a second.. Add finely chopped onions,GGP and saute for a minute.Now add finely chopped tomato and saute it til tomatoes cook.Add red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder and mix well..Cook for 2 minutes and add ground nuts paste..Mix it immediately to avoid burning and some water for gravy consistency.Then add pressure cooked black chana/chick peas and kasoori methi powder.Also throw cumin powder,coriander powder, garam masala.Cook for 5 more minutes and turn off.Serve hot with roti..
