Muruku is a south indian popular snack which we try during festival times.It is a deep fried snack with rice flour using some spices for taste..I have already posted few different muruku recipes in blog and today sharing an innovative muruku recipe which is made with sweet potato.By modifying potato muruku recipe, tried this and result was so good.This muruku is very crunchy yet tastes same like basic rice flour muruku..I used cumin seeds but you can use carom seeds or ajwain too..Also,use chili powder and salt as per your taste..Always fry them in medium heat to get perfect color murukus..For a change try this version and enjoy with hot cup of chai.

WHAT YOU NEED
Boiled Sweet potato puree-1/3 cup
Rice flour -1 cup
Red chili powder-2 tea spoons (as per your taste)
Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
Oil-for deep frying
HOW TO COOK
Boil sweet potato until soft,peel out skin,chop and grind in mixy jar until mushy.Now take rice flour in a bowl, add sweet potato puree,salt to taste,red chili powder,hing,cumin seeds,mix every thing with fingers.Add hot oil, mix once and using water prepare into a soft dough.Now heat kadai with oil another side..Take muruku press with your favorite plate(achu) and fill in dough..In the hot oil press out the 2-3 murukus and deep fry them in medium flame.When the muruku turns into light brown in color take them on paper.Serve hot muruku with hot cup of chai/tea.
