WHAT YOU NEED
Ridge gourd /Beera kaya-1 medium size
Chanadal/senaga pappu -1/2 cup
Oil-1 table spoon
Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
Ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tea spoon
Red chili powder-1 tea spoon/to taste
Turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon
Coriander powder-1 tea spoon
HOW TO COOK
peel ridge gourd skin,cut into pieces.Wash and soak chanadal for 20 minutes.
Heat a pan with oil,throw cumin seeds,mustard seeds,curry leaves,crackle it.. Add in finely chopped onion,ginger garlic paste and saute for a while..Add in finely chopped ridge gourd pieces and mix well.Add soaked chanadal and mix again,cook it for a minute..Now add red chili powder,turmeric powder,salt,mix and cook for 2 minutes with a lid.Now add finely chopped tomato,mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.Now add coriander powder,coriander leaves,mix and cook for a minute finally.Turn off and serve hot with rice or chapathi..
