semiya recipes are common in my kitchen which i serve in dinner times maximum.I have posted semiya biryani few months back and this is the new one which tried for dinner again.This upma is tangy,spicy and totally delicious which makes tummy filling.
As per my taste, I used red chili powder for spiciness instead of green chili which gives super hot taste..You can pack this for lunch box or as a break fast also goes well.Do give a try and let me know how it turned for you.

WHAT YOU NEED
oil -2 table spoons
cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
mustard seeds-1 tea spoon
cinnamon stick-1" inch
ginger garlic paste -2 tea spoons
sweet corn -1/2 cup
coriander leaves-1/2 cup finely chopped
mint leaves-1/2 cup finely chopped
red chili powder-1 tea spoon
turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon
HOW TO COOK
Dry roast semiya in pan for 5 minutes in low flame.Mean while boil water in vessel.Add roasted semiya and cook until soft.Add table spoon oil and mix well to avoid sticking semiya.
Now heat a pan with oil,throw cumin seeds,cloves,mustard seeds,cinnamon stick,cardamom pod.Then add chopped onions,ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes.Add chopped carrot,potato,mushrooms,sweet corn and mix well.Cook for 2 minutes in medium flame..Then add chopped coriander leaves,mint leaves and mix well.Now add red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder and stir gently.Add 2-3 table spoons water and cook until veggies soft.Once the vegetables are cooked well,add semiya and stir gently..Squeeze lemon juice gently give a stir and rest it for 15 minutes..Serve hot with curd or pickle.
