Srilankan Style Mutton Curry | Mutton Gravy In Srilankan Method | Mutton Recipes For Rice and Chapathi | Side dish For Chapathi

Mutton is our family favorite so love to cook different dishes every time using goat meat.This is an another new dish which came out simply superb in my kitchen.It is one of the popular dish from srilankan cuisine and I only heard that Srilanakan cuisine uses coconut products like coconut milk and oil.
This dish is cooked in thick bottomed vessel/pan so bit time consuming but result will be awesome So,be patience while cooking,keep the flame in medium heat,keep stirring in between to avoid burning.Try this wonderful dish next time when you buy mutton and don`t forget to share your pictures/comments..

WHAT YOU NEED
whole garam masala ingredients 
bay leaf-1 small
cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
cinnamon stick-1"inch 
green cardamom-2
cloves-3
red chili-3
javithri flower-1
satranise-1 small flower
Mutton with bone -500 grams
oil-3-4 table spoons
onions-1
green chili-3-4
ginger garlic paste-1 table spoon 
tomato puree-1/2 cup
coconut milk-1 cup
red chili powder-1 table spoon
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon
lemon juice-1 table spoon
coriander leaves-few
HOW TO COOK
Wash mutton twice,marinate with red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,lemon juice and ginger garlic paste for over night or 1 hour minimum..
Heat a pan dry roast whole garam masala ingredients and grind into fine powder.Now heat a pan with oil.Add finely chopped onions,green chili,ginger garlic paste and saute well.Add in mutton,mix again.Cook for 10 minutes in high flame and add in tomato puree.Cook again for 10 minutes with lid.Now add coconut milk,cup of water,mix well and cook for 10 minutes.Now add fresh garam masala (I used 1 table spoon),coriander leaves and cook for 10 more minutes finally.Turn off and serve hot with rice or chapathi.
