Coconut Milk Mutton Biryani | Mutton Biriyani With Coconut Milk Recipe | Lamb Meat Recipes | Gosht Biryani WIth Coconutmilk

Biryani is one of the favorite meal to so many Indians.I have posted various biriyani recipes in blog like chicken varieties and mutton varieties too. Here is the new method of biryani which is cooked with coconut milk.While thinking about the new recipe got an idea of adding coconut milk..So,first pressure cooked the meat then added cooked rice on top,which made the recipe easy.
Because lamb meat takes long time to cook, pressure cooking saves the time.All you need to do is add less water to cook mutton then before layering rice make sure that the mutton is completely dry or not..USe lots of mint,coriander leaves for nice flavor..Cook on dum method in slow flame always and serve after 30 minutes at least.

WHAT YOU NEED
Mutton-1/2 kg (500 grams) 
Red chili powder-2 tea spoons
Salt-to taste
Curd-1/3 cup
Turmeric powder-1 tea spoon
ginger garlic powder-1 table spoon
mutton masala powder (garam masala)-1 table spoon
Oil-1 table spoon
Lemon juice-1 table spoon
Basmati rice (or)normal rice-2 cups 
Onions-2 medium size
Tomato-1 big
Oil-1 table spoon
Water- 2 cups
Whole garam masala ingredients
Cloves-3
Cardamom pods-2
Cinnamon stick-2 inch
Bay leaf-1
Star anise flower-1
Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon

TO COOK RICE
Salt-1/2 tea spoon
Whole garam masala ingredients
Cloves-3
Cardamom pods-2
Cinnamon stick-2 inch
Bay leaf-1
Star anise flower-1
Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
Cilantro leaves+mint leaves-1+1 cups
Coconut milk-1 cup
HOW TO COOK
In a mixing bowl,marinate mutton with red chili powder,salt,curd,turmeric powder,ginger garlic powder,mutton masala powder,oil,lemon juice for 1 hour minimum or over night.Wash rice twice and soak in water for 30 minutes..
Heat pressure cooker,add mutton,sliced onion, chopped tomato,oil,water and cook for 30 minutes in high flame.
Mean while heat water in vessel,add salt,whole garam masala ingredients,when water starts boiling add rice and cook 70%. Drain in colander and spread to avoid sticking..
Now heat a vessel add this cooked mutton without water (keep aside this water to use later) add cilantro leaves,mint leaves,coconut milk, whole garam masala ingredients and mix gently. .Cook for 10 minutes in medium flame until mutton mixture turns into dry.Now add rice on top,spread evenly.Now pour the spice water (mutton gravy) on top of the rice,spread some more cilantro leaves+mint leaves if you have. close with lid and cook on dum method for 15 minutes in low flame..Turn off and serve hot with raita and lemon wedge..
