Tomato Garlic Rasam | Vellulli Tomato Rasam | South Indian Style Rasam Recipes

Rasam is an South Indian popular side dish which we serve with rice..Hot piping rasam a nice comfort dish to have with white rice with side dish like potato fry and some curd..Though it don`t have much health benefits,can make it a good recipe by adding garlic ,pepper corns ,cumin seeds like this..
Because this kind of hot and spicy rasam is a god medicine for cold and stuffy nose/runny nose. Meu Amor is the only person who loves rasam so instead of regular recipe tried like this and here goes the full recipe for you all.Check out and try it next time.

WHAT YOU NEED
For masala paste
Coriander seeds- 1 table spoon
Garlic cloves-3 big 
Red chili-2
Black pepper corns-1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon
Tomatoes-2 medium size
Tamarind- goose berry size
Turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon
Cilantro/ Coriander leaves -few
Salt - to taste
To prepare tadka 
mustard seeds-1 tea spoon
red chili-1
garlic clove-1 big
curry leaves-few
hing-1/4 teas spoon

HOW TO COOK
In a non stick add coriander seeds,garlic cloves,red chili,black pepper corns,cumin seeds,dry roast in medium flame for a minute and grind into coarse paste..
Wash and chop tomato.Blend into coarse pulp/ puree,using mixy jar..In a vessel,take 1 cup of water,add tamarind,ground tomato pulp,turmeric powder,salt and bring it to boil..While rasam is boiling add ground masala paste,stir gently and let it boil got 5 minutes in high flame..Mean while prepare tadka in pan with mentioned ingredients,pour this boiling rasam ,mix well add some fresh coriander leaves and turn off after 5 minutes.
