Hyderabadi Famous Mutton Dalcha Recipe | How to cook Dalcha Gosht | Mutton Gravy Recipes For Rice&Chapathi | Hyderabadi Cuisine | Hyderabadi Recipes

Mutton (Lamb meat ) is my Mahas boys favorite food which I cook often for them.Though they are Brasilians I don`t allow them to eat cow or pig meat. So,being a foodie and mommy I love to try different recipes every time.I have already posted lots of recipes which are popular in India. So ,now introducing one more famous recipe which originated in Hyderabad city..
This is a pressure cooked gravy with dal combination,You need very few Ingredients to cook this and this goes well white rice,bagara rice or chapathi too.I used red dal but you can use toor dal or even chana dal which goes well in the dish.Go with the full recipe,try it and let me know how it came for you..

WHAT YOU NEED
 mutton with bone/lamb meat -300 grams
Red dal -1/2 cup
Turmeric powder-1 tea spoon
Ginger garlic paste-2 tea spoons
oil-2 table spoons
Bay leaf-1
Cumin seeds -2 tea spoons
Onions -1 big
Tomatoes-1 big
Red chili powder-2 tea spoons
Salt-to taste
Coriander powder-2 tea spoons
Coriander leaves-few
HOW TO COOK
Wash mutton twice and keep aside..Wash and soak dal for 20 minutes.Now heat a pressure cooker,add washed mutton,dal,turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste,2 cups of water and pressure cook for 30 minutes in medium flame and turn off ..
Now heat on a non stick pan,add oil.when it`s hot add bay leaf,cumin seeds then add finely chopped onions and saute for a minute until change into brown color.Now add finely chopped tomatoes,mix well.
Add red chili powder,salt,coriander powder and stir once.After 2-3 minutes add in pressure cooked Mutton mixture with water and cook for 10 minutes in low flame.Finally add coriander leaves and turn off.Serve hot with white rice or chapathi..
