Baked Tofu Tikka Recipe | Tofu Pepper Tikka Baked in Oven | Tofu Recipes For Dinner | Dinner Ideas

Tofu is one of my favorite food so love to try new recipes every time using tofu..This is the new recipe called tikka which I have made recently using tofu. Generally, paneer tikka is quite popular in restaurants which is rich in calories. So,instead of paneer can use tofu.
I used extra firm tofu in this tikka preparation.Use good quality tofu for good textured tofu pieces..You can even grill this insted of baking or even on pan also can fry them in medium flame.what ever the method you follow,just cook carefully.If you like tofu try this next time and share your pictures.

PREPARATION TIME-20 MINUTES

WHAT YOU NEED
Bell peppers(red,green,yellow colors)-3 big size
Onion -2 big size
Tofu -250 grams
Red chili powder-2 tea spoons
Salt-to taste
Turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon
Garam masala-1 tea spoon
Coriander powder-1/2 tea spoon
Cumin powder-1/2 tea spoon
Black pepper powder-1/2 tea spoon
Kasoori methi-1/2 tea spoon
Curd-Oil -2 table spoons
Corn flour-1 table spoon
Oil -2 table spoons

HOW TO COOK
Wash and chop bell peppers in big size pieces.chop onion in big size pieces too..
Remove excess of water and cut tofu in bite size pieces..to remove water,keep tofu on a plate,put another plate on top and keep a heavy weight..this tip really helps you..
Now in a bowl,take red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,garam masala,coriander powder,cumin powder, black pepper powder,kasoori methi,curd,corn flour,oil and mix well..
To this add tofu,bell peppers,onions and stir gently. Careful while mixing,other wise tofu may breaks..Rest this for 1 hour .
Mean while soak bamboo sticks in water for 30 minutes..Then pre heat oven at 180 degree C and in a baking tin,place aluminium sheet.
Now take a bamboo stick wipe out water,put on capsicums,onions tofuone by one in order.Repeat this process with another sticks till you finish the marinade tikka mixture.now arrange these in baking tin and bake for 15 minutes.Then take it out and flip stick another side carefully and bake for 15 more minutes and turn off..Serve hot with salad..
