Potato Egg Korma Recipe | Egg Aloo Khurma | Egg Korma with Coconut | Khurma Recipes For Chapathi | Side dishes for Chapathi

This is a simple egg korma with potato combination. It`s not an authentic style korma dish because on my own Idea I cooked this korma so process may sounds different for you. Actually this recipe is like an experiment which came out good. So,I thought to share it with you all.For gravy consistency  added tomato puree but you can add chopped tomato or can skip it..

Along with coconut,grind whole garam masala ingredients like cloves,cinnamon stick,staranise nd cardamom pods. But actually I skipped this step which is an optional..Overall, for chapathi this korma goes well so try it and serve..

Fresh Coconut pieces-1/2 cup
Cashews -5
Oil-2 table spoons
Cumin seeds
Mustard seeds-1 tea spoon
Onion-2 medium size
Ginger garlic paste-2 tea spoon
Tomato puree-1/3 cup
Potato/aloo -2 big size
Red chili powder-2 tea spoons
Salt-to taste
Turmeric powder -1/2 tea spoon
Boiled eggs-5
Coriander powder-1 tea spoon
Garam masala-1 tea spoon
Cilantro leaves -few
Boil eggs in pressure cooker for 15 minutes,remove shell and keep aside.Peel potato skin,cut into medium size pieces and boil in water for 10 minutes till soft.Then drain and keep aside.
Take coconut pieces,cashews in blender.add little bit water and blend into fine paste..
Now heat a non stick,add oil,when the oil is hot,add cumin seeds,mustard seeds,let it crackle,
Now add finely chopped onions,ginger garlic paste and saute well till onions turns light brown.
Then add boiled potato pieces,stir gently. After a minute add tomato puree and mix well..
Now add red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder and mix once..Cook this in low flame for2 minutes and add 2 cups of water.
Cook for 5 minutes in medium flamd and add ground coconut mixture.Stir gently and cook in low flame for 5 minutes with lid.Then add boiled eggs.coriander powder,garam masala,cilantro leaves and stir gently.Turn off and serve hot with chapathi.
