Upma became a very common breakfast at home these days..Usually I make rava upma some times semiya version but this time I thought to use oatmeal .tepuktanganSo, this is the result which I got..You can use any of your choice vegetables like broccoli,caui flowers,bell peppers to make it more healthy. sengihnampakgigi

WHAT YOU NEED
oil-2 tablespoons
ginger&garlic-1+1 tablespoons chopped
Mustard seeds-1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
Uraddal-1 teaspoon
Chanadal -1 teaspoon
Onion- 1 small
Carrot-1 small
french beans-3 chopped
Green chillies-5-6
Tomato-1 small or 1/2 piece
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
Oatmeal-1 cup
Water-2-2.1/3 cups
HOW TO COOK
Heat a non stick pan with oil, add finely chopped ginger,garlic. Then add mustard seeds,cumin seeds, uraddal, chanadal saute for few seconds.
Now add finely chopped onions, carrots,beans,chillies,tomato and stir well. Add salt to taste,turmeric powder and cook in medium flame for 5 minutes.
Add 2cups water and let it boil. When the water starts boiling add oatmeal,stir everything,keep flame in low and cook till water evaporates..Add finely choped coriander leaves,stir gently.Then turn off and serve hot with any pickle.
