How to make Murukku | Muruku with Greenchili | Chakli Recipe with Riceflour | Jantikalu | Murukku Recipes

Muruku or Chakli or Jantikalu, whatever the name is, this deep-fried snack is quite popular in India and favorite with so many people.Rice flour and fried chana dal are the main ingredients to make this murukku and there are many more varieties like butter version or using poha, oats, white flour even wheat flour.menari
 Usually for spice taste adds red chili powder but for a change, I used green chili and it came out very nice. Depending on the green chili spice add as per your taste and even you can add cumin seeds, sesame seeds for flavor. Though generally, I use this time I skipped still the chakli was good in taste. WHAT YOU NEED senyum
Fried chana dal/putnala Pappu/roasted chana dal -1/2 cup
Green chili -6-8
 Rice flour-2 cups
Salt to taste
Water -as needed
Oil -for deep frying
HOW TO COOK tepuktangan
In a small jar blend fried chana dal into a fine powder.also, grind green chili into a fine paste.
In a mixing bowl, take rice flour, to this add ground chana dal powder, green chili paste, salt to taste and mix well.
Now add warm water slowly and start making a dough in small quantities. Heat oil in a Kadai deep frying on another side.
 Now take chakli press with your favorite place, fill this dough and start pressing in circular motions directly into the hot oil. Press 2-3 small size murukku at a time and fry in medium flame carefully.
Or, you can press on an oil applied polythene cover then start frying in batch-wise.
Take the fried murukku on a kitchen paper towels to remove excess oil and store in airtight container. You can store this for 10-15 days.Serve with hot tea.
