Quinoa is quite healthy which is less in calories and also helps in weight loss so much. Usually, I cook quinoa upma regularly for breakfast times. I have already few Quinoa Recipes like Upma, Pulao even raita.sengihnampakgigi I have shared quinoa mango payasam on blog long time back and recently noticed that there was no basic quinoa payasam recipe till now in Mahaslovelyhome. menari 
So,thought to post it and luckily few days back got chance to cook this delicious kheer. I made it in a simple method which can be done in 10 minutes if you have cooked quinoa on hand.tepuktangan I used sugar for sweetness instead of jaggery and 3% fat milk sintead of full fat milk. So, as per your choice replace this two and can try if you want.Next time will post another version of quinoa payasam definitely.celebrate

Qunioa Almond Payasam

PREPARATION TIME- 15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME-10-15 MINUTES

WHAT YOU NEED

Quinoa-1 cup
Ghee-2 tablespoons
Cashew nuts-4 
Chopped almonds-4
Raisins-5
Milk-1/2 liter
Sugar-1 cup
Cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
 HOW TO COOK
Wash and soak quinoa for 20-30 minutes then cook until quinoa turns soft and mushy.
Heat a pan with ghee, roast cashew nuts, chopped almonds, raisins and fry till raisins puff up. Take those into a bowl and keep aside.
In the same pan add milk, keep the flame in low and stir in between. When the milk starts boiling add cooked quinoa and stir gently. Cook this for 5 minutes in medium flame by stirring continuously.
Then add sugar and mix well.Cook for 5 minutes again and finally add cardamom powder. Now turn off and add fried dry fruits.Stir gently and serve warm or cold.
