I have tried this recipe last year and every time I am postponing it instead of publishing even though the recipe had clear stepwise pictures and notes. Sometimes it happens and only time should come to post those kinds of recipes. I always love to try new recipes either in vegetarian, non-vegetarian or in sweets. If it is with Mango there will be the more interest along with double love.
This is one of the popular sweet which cooked with corn flour, sugar by making mango as the main ingredient. This mango burfi recipe is just exactly the way we make halwa with only addition is of mango pulp. The process is bit lengthy process and time taking but the result will be so good. In this summertime, fresh mangoes are frequently available so try this recipe definitely and enjoy the delicious halwa/mango burfi.

Mango pulp -2 cups
Ghee/clarified butter- ½ cup
Cornstarch/corn flour- 1/2 cup
Water -1/2 cup
Sugar -2 cups
Cardamom powder -1 teaspoon
Cashew nuts -5 (few)
Almonds-5 (few)
Take another bowl add corn starch/corn flour and water make a slurry.Heat ghee in a pan adds mango pulp.
When the ghee is hot, add mango pulp in this add cornstarch slurry and mix it well and keep stirring till thickened, add sugar and mix this then add ghee mix it till the mixture is thickened this will take around 10-15 minutes. Once it moves at one single mass and separates from the pan, add broken cashew nuts, almonds, cardamom powder, keep this mixing another 10 minutes. Pour the mixture on to a greased tray with ghee and rest for 2 to 3 hours and cut them into pieces.
