White bread is the common item which I pick it up in grocery shopping and often makes sandwiches for my both sons. Last week, there were a few slices which remained in the fridge which made me to try something new. So, this is the simple sweet which I have tried out called Kesari. Rava Kesari or sheera is one of the famous sweet which we south Indians prefers to make it one puja times as nivedyam including my mom.😋
Because it`s not only easy to make but also need very few ingredients. Using white bread, I have tried some desserts and sweets like bread halwa, double ka meetha, bread oats halwa, bread pudding, shahitukuda etc. This Kesari also one of the best recipe to try with stale bread which tastes so good and delicious. PREPARATION TIME-10  MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 15 MINUTES
WHAT YOU NEED
white bread slices -6
 ghee-4-5 tablespoons
dry fruits-cashews, almonds, raisins, chironji nuts (4-5 each one)
milk -1 cup

 sugar-1/2 cup
cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
food colour- 1/4 teaspoon
HOW TO COOK
Chop bread slices and grind into a coarse powder, like sooji texture (don`t grind too fine like a flour )
Heat a non-stick pan with ghee, on low flame roast dry fruits.
Now add ground bread mixture and fry for a minute on low flame. Add milk immediately, mix and cook for a minute.
Now add sugar, stir gently for a minute. Then add cardamom powder, food colour and cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
Finally, add 1-2 tablespoons more ghee and turn off.
