 A few days back I posted a recipe called dates carrot payasam in the blog, on the same day I also tried this recipe which is dates coconut milk kheer. This is a simple payasam which is delicious and rich in taste with coconut milk flavour.
You can use full coconut milk instead of cow milk but this way also kheer tastes good. Use your favourite choice of dry fruits and nuts and serve warm for best taste.

WHAT YOU NEED
dates- 15
clarified butter/ ghee- 2 tablespoons
dry fruits- cashews+almonds+raisins (5+5+5)
coconut milk- 2 cups 
3% fat cow milk-2 cups
cardamom powder- 1 teaspoon
HOW TO COOK
Soak dates in water for 10-15 minutes. Then grind into a fine paste. Now heat a non-stick pan add ghee, fry dry fruits and take those into a bowl.
In the same pan, add dates puree, fry for 5 minutes in low heat. Add milk mix well, cook for 5 minutes by stirring continuously. 
Then add coconut milk and cook on low flame for 10 minutes and add cardamom powder+roasted dry fruits, stir well and turn off. Serve warm or refrigerate for some time and serve cold.
