This is one of the simple stir-fry with Kabuli Chana which doesn`t need much time to cook. Chole masala is one of the famous dishes which is a good side dish for chapati.  I have posted a few different Chana gravy recipes in the blog and this time thought to post dry version recipe.
This is a simple roast with some spice powders and huge garlic. You can use ginger garlic paste instead of garlic cloves but try this version if you don`t have a problem with garlic. Also can add chat masala or amchoor powder for a tangy touch. Serve hot as a snack or side dish with rice or chapati.

chickpea -1 cup
oil-2 tablespoon
cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
mustard seeds-1 teaspoon
dry red chilli-
chopped garlic cloves-5 no
onions-1 small size
ginger garlic paste- 1 teaspoon
red chilli powder-1-2 teaspoons
salt to taste
turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
Kasuri methi-1/2 teaspoon
garam masala -1 teaspoon
lemon juice -1 tablespoon
Wash and soak chickpea in water for 4 hours or overnight. Then pressure cook for 10 minutes in high flame.
Heat a non-stick pan with oil. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, dry red chilli, chopped garlic cloves and saute for a minute in low flame.
Now add finely chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes in low flame.
Now add cooked chickpea and stir gently. Now add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Then add Kasuri methi, garam masala and stir well, then turn off. Squeeze lemon juice and serve hot.
