Being a foodie and sweet tooth I tend to try sweets every time. Though Kala Jamun is one the popular yet delicious sweet of India never imagined about trying at home. But when I found Gulab Jamun instant mix in the fridge which I brought from India got an idea of trying this Kala Jamun. 
To make this Kala Jamun need patience for perfect Jamun, it`s a little bit long process but definitely, you`ll get tasty Kala Jamun when you follow the step by step method carefully.

gulab jamun mix-1 pack
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon yellow food colour
milk-1/4 cup
oil- for deep frying
sugar-2 cups
water -3 cups
cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
In a small bowl, take 1 tablespoon milk, add 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon yellow food colour and mix well. keep this aside.
Now sieve gulab jamun mix in a plate divide it into two parts. To the one part add milk slowly and make a fine soft dough.
To another mix add colour mixed milk, add some more milk and make a soft dough.
Divide the two doughs into equal portions. Yellow coloured dough balls should be small comparing to white dough balls.
Take a white dough ball, press it and put the yellow ball, cover it carefully.shape it into a round and give a log shape.
Now heat oil in Kadai for deep frying. Start frying the Kala Jamun in low flame until gets brown colour and drain on a paper towel 
After 10 minutes fry the Jamun again for 5 minutes in low flame for black colour coating.
Heat sugar with water in a vessel, add cardamom powder and boil until syrup turns sticky.
Then turn off and add this Jamun, stir gently and rest for 2 hours.
Reheat the syrup vessel, for 5 minutes then rest for 2-3 hours. Reheating the syrup helps to Jamun absorbs the syrup which makes the Jamuns juicy inside.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream which is the best combination.
