How to make basic spinach puree for gravies | Spinach gravy using frozen spinach | simple,easy palak puree for gravies | Home made basics


Fresh chopped spinach-2 cups or frozen -1 cup
tomato-1 big
onion-1 big
green chili -3-4 (i used red color)
ginger-1/2 tbsp
garlic cloves-3-4
cumin-1 tsp
pepper corns-3-4
fennel seeds-1/2 tsp


There are two methods to prepare this basic palak gravy..One is bu frying all the ingredients one by one and grinding later.

Second options is grinding all the ingredients directly and then using while cooking..

So,here i went with second option....

1. chop onion,tomato,chillies and grind into fine puree along with other ingredients....You can freeze it in zip lock bags..

2. Can refrigerate for 2 days...Use for gravies as base....:)
