Today,we are going to meet lakshi Vimala who is a friendly food blogger. I met her very recently in facebook later started talking in leasure times.She blogs at cookingclub17.blogspot.com where she presents her recipes with pictures..
Her recipes are very simple with avilable stuffs and  can cook easily even beginners too..I hope we both continues this friendship for ever and wish you all the best Vimala...Keep sharing many more recipes..:)

1.Few words about u/some thing special which we don`t know?

I want to learn everything that I admire. I do painting, interior designing, love to learn different languages, read science fiction novels and lot more.

2. 3 Food photography tips or  3 useful kitchen tips?

Im not that much good in photography :P

My kitchen tips are

1.      You can store fresh peas and use in off season. Just Peel them and store in an airtight container in freezer over 6 months

2.      When you break the coconut and may not use the whole at once. Remove all pieces from shell and put it in a bowl of water and rock salt. Place it in fridge and can be used for about a week. It will remain fresh and white.

3.        If there is an excess of salt in gravies add bread pieces into it. It will thicken the gravy and reduce saltiness.   

3. How to improve fans n followers for food blog n food bog face book page?

Do post regularly and link to your page. Reply to your fans comments and visit to your followers blog and comment when they post.

4.How food blog changed ur life?How many recipes your posting in a month approximately and your memorable moments which related to blog?

My life has changed completely because of my food blog. I love my blog and Ive got soo many friends  through my blog and I am learning a lot. I do approximately 4-5 posts for a month. I got interaction with many people and celebrities and got many close friends through blog.

5.Finally,tell me few words abt MLH?

Usha is a lovely lady.Her blog has lots of recipes and even she helps the beginners through her tips and tricks in her blog. Hats off to her.

Lets come to post....All of us like sweet corn and we usually have boiled corn with some spices or sugar. Why cant we try a vada made of corn. It came out very well and really so yummy and mouth-watering.Here is the recipe:


Serves-6-7 persons
Preparation time:10 mins
Cooking time-5-7 mins


Sweet corn kernels-1 cup
Milk-1 tbsp
Garlic paste- ½ tsp
Red chilly powder-1 tsp
Onion-1 big, finely chopped
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
Corn flour- 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves-few chopped
Salt to taste

Oil for frying

In a mixer add sweet corn kernels, Garlic and milk blend well and pour in a bowl and add red chilly powder, onion, cornflour and salt and mix well.

Heat oil in a kadai With the help of a spoon scoop out the mixture and shape lightly with another spoon and put in the hot oil. Fry till crispy and golden brown.

 Now enjoy crispy corn vada with sauce or chutney.........!!!!!!


If the batter is still watery add some more corn flour.

The oil should be in medium heat otherwise it will brown outside and stay raw inside.

sauté onion and spices

sauté the batter and spices till water evaporates

shape with two spoons

Fry in medium heat oil.

Enjoy the crispy vada
