 Lentils are rich in protein and a perfect alternative to meat.sengihnampakgigi For vegetarians, Lentils are good option to choose and also they available all over the world easily. But, in my place, I mean In Foz do Iguazu city we don`t get nay dals except, Red dal in few shops. menari 
Though toordal is main in this kind of dishes here I used red dal.need just water to cook and some ample amount of time.. Lentils can be mixed with any vegetables or greens to make a perfect main dish that goes well with steamed white rice or chapathi, all you need to do is soaking dal for some time.celebrate
I have started growing flower plants and few greens at home like mint, cilantro, and this methi.senyum So, using homegrown fenugreek leaves cooked this dal. this dal is very easy to cook and tasty with hot white rice.All you need is some spicy stir fry, along with curd to make it as the best meal.tepuktangan

 Tuvar dal/Toor Dal -1 cup
Salt-to taste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1+2 tablespoon oil
2 cups of water
Methi leaves - 1 bunch
1 teaspoon-Mustard seeds
1 teaspoon-Cumin seeds
1 teaspoon-Urad dal
1 teaspoon-Chana dal
Curry leaves-few
1/2 teaspoon-Hing
2- Dry red chili
6-8 Sliced green chili
3 Finely chopped garlic cloves
Chopped tomato-1 no
Wash and soak dal for 15 minutes. In a pressure cooker, take this dal, little bit salt, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon oil, 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 10 minutes in medium flame. Meanwhile, wash methi leaves well under running tap water.
Then heat a nonstick pan with oil, throw in mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, Hing, dry red chili, sliced green chili, finely chopped garlic and saute for few minutes.
Now add methi leaves, finely chopped tomato, 12 teaspoon turmeric powder and stir gently. Now add pressure cooked dal, salt, 1 cup of water and mix well. Cook this for 10 minutes in low flame and turn off. Serve hot with chapathi or steamed white rice along with stir-fry and papad.
