coconut burfi with condensed milk | coconut burfi with desiccated coconut | coconut sweets | diwali sweets

I have tried coconut burfi recipe a few days back which was so simple to make and delicious in taste. That recipe was folded with sugar so I thought to try burfi with condensed milk this time. I have used store bought desiccated coconut but even you can try with freshly grated or ground coconut too for better taste.
If you want to/are use (using) fresh coconut remove the brown layer of coconut for a well-textured burfi. Add lots of finely sliced almonds on top for a beautiful look and rich taste. Try this next time and enjoy.

PREPARATION TIME- 10 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 15-20 MINUTES
WHAT YOU NEED
condensed milk- 200 grams (1 cup)
cardamom powder- 1 teaspoon
 desiccated coconut-1 cup
1/4 cup of ghee (clarified butter)
HOW TO COOK
Heat a thick bottomed non-stick vessel, keep the flame in low. Add condensed milk, desiccated coconut, cardamom powder and stir continuously without stopping.
Make sure the mixture doesn`t form any lumps. Add 2-3 tablespoons of ghee in between for a nice aroma and rich taste. But skipped this step.
When the mixture turns thick and starts leaving pan, sift the mixture into a greased tin and set it properly. Pour sliced almonds on the mixture, slice the burfi into square size pieces and rest it for 20-30 minutes and serve.
