Here is the simple raita recipe with spring onions. Spring onion is good in fried rice it is also good for weight loss and lowers the bad cholesterol. As a combination for biriyani, I prefer raita always so this time thought to try with spring onions.
Chopping finely for raita is a good idea which makes the raita look better. Tomato is must in the recipe because it balances the spring onion strong flavour. Replace red chilli powder with pepper powder and serve with biryani or pulao.

WHAT YOU NEED

 red chilli powder-1 teaspoon
salt to taste
 cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
 finely chopped spring onions-1 cup
curd/yoghurt- 2 cups
tomato-1 medium size
HOW TO COOK
Beat yoghurt for a minute in a bowl add red chilli powder, salt, cumin seeds and mix well.
Wash and finely chop the spring onions, finely chopped tomato add in yoghurt. mix well and check the taste. Serve with rice/ pulao/ biriyani or paratha.
Notes: Add finely chopped cucumber pieces and cumin powder for a good taste.
