PALAK PANEER/PANEER IN SPINACH GRAVY/COTTAGE CHEESE IN SPINACH GRAVY


Palak paneer is the bestest  gravy in paneer dishes.Don`t know??How I missed posting this delicious recipe in Mahaslovelyhome...Any how,today Iam very happy to share this with you all..Greens are very healthy n to balance the high calories of paneer palak is the best combination..
This gravy tastes best with rotis and parathas..I added both milk and yogurt.. You can use any one of them...Also,add fresh spinach paste,not frozen spinach...Grinding onion n tomato is better than using chopped pieces in making gravy.In this I used onion tomato puree which is cooked first n palak puree n boiled paneer..So,you don`t  need to cook the gravy for a long time,other wise we may lose all the protiens..So,cook carefully and enjoy...Now,off to the recipe....

WHAT YOU NEED

Palak paste/spinach paste-1 cup
onion-1 big
tomato-2 big
paneer/ricotta cheese cubed- 200 grams packet
green chilli-4
salt- to taste
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1 tsp
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
black cumin-1 tsp
cardamom pods-3
cinnamon stick-1/2 inch
cloves-2-3
oil-3 tbsps
milk-3 tbsp
yogurt/curd-3 tbsp



HOW TO COOK

Boil cubed paneer in hot water for 10 mins then drain..Chop onion,tomato and chillies finely..Chop spinach and boil in enough water for 5 minutes then grind into puree..

Heat pan with 1 tbsp oil n add cardamom pods,cloves,cinnamon and black cumin..Saute for 1/2 minute and add onion..saute well then add tomato chopped...

Cook this for 2 minutes then grind into puree along with chillies..

Add 2 tbsps of oil again in the pan then tip the onion+tomato puree,palak puree and add spices-red chilli powder,salt,garam masala,coriander powder,turmeric,GGP and cook for 2 min in low flames.

Now add paneer cubes and mix care fully...Cook this for 5 mins in low flame then add milk n yogurt in the final...

Off flame after 5 minutes then serve with rotis...
